You Gotta Know Who YOU Are In Jesus

S. O. A. P

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Jeremiah 26:14

As for me, I am in your hands; do with me whatever you think is good and right.

O-bservation:

The Prophet Jeremiah had prophesied doom and destruction on Judah, and when he did the officials and elders of the country met in the temple and said, “We must put Jeremiah to death for this prophecy. Jeremiah replied that he had only done what God had told him to do, and if they killed him they would be shedding innocent blood. But then he said, “Go ahead and do what you want.” They changed their minds.

A-pplication:

When a person who is in the right faces off with those who really are guilty, God will give that person a “Calm Settled Peace” in the middle of the most “Troubling Encounters.” In Jeremiah’s case it was “ONE” against an “ANGRY MOB.” Sound familiar? This usually is the way righteousness exists. Jeremiah in this “Troubling Encounter” exhibited a “Calm Settled Peace” in the face of apparent death because, “He Knew Who He Was In Jesus.” You probably aren’t facing an “Angry Mob” right now, but whatever “Troubling Encounter” may be lurking in the shadows, remember … “You Gotta Know Who YOU Are In Jesus.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You today that I have a “Calm Settled Peace” in my life. Because of Your forgiveness, I know who I am in Jesus. Amen
