When The Love For God’s House Consumes Us

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Exodus 36:5

“The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

O-bservation:

Moses had asked the people of Israel who were willing to bring offerings to build the temple in the wilderness. In a previous verse, the scripture says they continued to bring offerings morning after morning. The truth is, they were consumed with a love for God’s house.

A-pplication:

It’s hard to believe that eventually Moses had to ask the people to stop bringing offerings because there was more than enough. I dare say that if this kind of love for God’s house was prevalent among all Believers today, the world would be evangelized! I’m not saying everyone would come to faith in Jesus, but the gospel would certainly circle the globe into every tribe and nation. Let’s lay all of that aside for a moment and just talk about you and me. What about our love for His house? I’m always asking myself, “Rich, how much do you really love His house, His gospel, His Word, His ways?” But think about it, what could we really do “When The Love For God’s House Consumes Us?”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m not just talking about a building this AM. I’m talking about the whole of the Gospel! Help me LOVE You more! Amen
