Please Forgive Me For What I’ve Forgotten About

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 19:12

But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.

O-bservation:

King David had such a stack of hidden sins that he had pretty much forgotten most of them. He asked the Lord to give him a clean slate.

A-pplication:

I really don’t see these as the major things that most of us call the “Big Sins.” More than likely, these were little things that should have been made right at the time. A simple, “I was wrong, will you forgive me?” Or, “I wish I wouldn’t have said that.” Or, an evil thought clouded your mind for an hour. These kinds of things should be brought to the cross each time. However, stuff happens and we forget. After a while they tend to layer. Like David, every once in a while we should say, “Jesus, Please Forgive Me For What I’ve Forgotten About.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Please forgive me for what I’ve forgotten about. This is a new day and I want a clean slate. Amen
