Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Isaiah 46:11
I will call a swift bird of prey from the east—a leader from a distant land to come and do my bidding. I have said what I would do, and I will do it.
O-bservation:
The Lord God Almighty speaks through his Oracle, Isaiah, and says, “I lead birds and I lead men, and all of them are on the earth to fulfill my purposes. What I say, I do, and what I plan, I make happen.”
A-pplication:
Wow! What a God we serve! One can almost see our great God in heaven as the grand puppeteer, holding the strings attached to his marionettes in the form of birds and people as we dance to his divine instructions here on earth. He conducts it all in order to fulfill His purposes and plans. Scripture even speaks about the trees praising him (1 Chron. 16:33). David said the sun, moon, and stars are to Praise the Lord (Ps. 148:3). Here we see all the elements of God’s creation. “John the Revelator” said they were all created for His pleasure (Rev. 4:11). In no way do I want to suggest that we humans are the same as God’s inanimate creation or his plant and animal creation. But it is important to note that if you and I fail to do the will of God, He will find someone who will. His purposes and plans will be accomplished, because He is the “Unbridled Originator” of it ALL. “HE Does What HE Wants!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Use Me! Anything YOU want … I’m ALL IN! Amen
Comment (1)
It is true that God will choose someone else to do the things I fail to do when called. I pray that the meditations of my heart be acceptable to Christ, my redeemer. Then I will gain understanding and be obedient.
