Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

O-bservation:

King David made an unusual statement for a king to make. He told us to be as strong as we possibly can be, keep our courage at the forefront as much as we could ever hope to, and then just “WAIT … For The LORD!”

A-pplication:

David spent a lot of time waiting before he ever learned to “WAIT … For The LORD.” He waited in the fields watching sheep for his family, the youngest of all his brothers. He waited for his brothers to come when he killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands, but they never did. He waited patiently while not one soldier in Israel’s army would fight Goliath. Finally, he fought him by himself, not even being a member of the army. David waited in a cave while a jealous King Saul tried to kill him. I could go on and on, but the fact remains that he knew how to wait. In time David became king, and after that there was no need for a king to wait. He had whatever he needed “ON DEMAND.” But in time he realized that kings need to wait more than anyone else does if they really want success. The success David was after was the favor of God. There’s no secret to the wait, there’s just waiting. If you’re willing to receive the instruction, success is on the way. Here it is! “WAIT … For The LORD!”

Dear Jesus,

This AM I’ll do today what seems to be the hardest thing for me to do. I will “WAIT … For You LORD!” Amen
