Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

O-bservation:

In closing out the second of two letters to young Timothy, St. Paul, his mentor, told him that the only way to be “Trained For Righteousness” is with the Holy Scripture.

A-pplication:

It’s important to note that when Paul wrote these words the Biblical Canon had not yet even been established. So more than anything, the Apostle was referring to Old Testament scripture. Really all they had to go on back then was portions of the Old Testament and mostly the Torah. Even so, Paul was all about the Word of God. Whatever they had of it at that time, Paul was convinced that the only way to grow in Righteousness was through reading and meditating upon the Word. Here’s what you need to know! NOTHING HAS CHANGED! We now have the entire Bible, and it still the best way to be “Trained For Righteousness!”
