The Story Of Jesus Is Always Good News

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 8:35

Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

O-bservation:

The deacon known as Philip had been dispatched by the Holy Spirit to witness to a eunuch from the Queen of Ethiopia’s court. When he approached him in his chariot, the man was reading from the book of Isaiah, where the lamb is led to the slaughter. When the man asked Philip what it meant, he told him the Good News about Jesus.

A-pplication:

It really doesn’t matter when, where, how, or to whom you tell it, “The Story Of Jesus Is Always Good News!” Here, a man seemingly out of place geographically was in the perfect place to hear the Good News. I’ve had the opportunity to talk to people who are in a desperate state of mind. Yet when I tell them the Good News about Jesus, a smile comes to their face and hope floods their hearts as they pray with me for salvation, because The Story Of Jesus Is Always Good News. Whether people are rich or poor, well fed or hungry, hot or cold, happy or sad, what they’re really in need of is Good News. Most of us hear our daily fare of bad news. That’s because Jesus is seldom in the conversation. When Jesus is talked about, the discussion is immediately elevated because The Story Of Jesus Is Always Good News!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You this AM for the Good News. Thank You that You are the Good News. Amen
