The Next Time You Think About Killing A Bug

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 50:11

I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.

O-bservation:

For most of this chapter, our great God, Jehovah, uses the pen of the psalmist to talk about what He’s like.

A-pplication:

I’m not sure if on a regular basis you and I pause to consider the sheer GREATNESS of our God. As I was reading this chapter, I thought back to the Genesis account of God’s creation. I also thought about the first chapter of John, where the writer tells us that Jesus created the worlds with His WORD! As I thought about these amazing events I asked myself, “Rich why don’t you think about such things every day?” Seriously if we lingered in our thoughts concerning the greatness of our God every day, nothing else would appear to threaten us. Then I read where God says, “The insects in the field are mine!” Wow! Immediately I thought of the last time I killed a bug. That’s when I wondered if I’d give an account for taking God’s property? Make no mistake about it. We serve a BIG God who has everything under control. Keep that in mind, “The Next Time You Think About Killing A BUG.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I yield to You again! I am Yours! Amen
