The Lord Of YOUR Valley

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Kings 20:28

The man of God came up and told the king of Israel, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

O-bservation:

The king of Aram, Ben-Hadad, had threatened the King of Israel, Ahab. Yet when it came time for battle, the Israelis throttled the Aramaeans and defeated them. The Aramaeans decided that they would have a better plan the next year. When the year came back around to fighting, the Aramaeans said that the Israelites God was a God of the hills but not the valleys. So this time, they tried attacking them in the valleys, and the small band of Israelites destroyed a hundred thousand in one day, and a falling wall crushed another twenty-seven thousand Aramaean soldiers.

A-pplication:

The Aramaeans truly believed that the God of Israel was only a God of the mountains, but that He was not “The Lord Of The Valley.” In other words, if they could attack the Israelis in the valley, they would surely prevail. What actually happened was that God gave them such a routing that Israel once again was victorious. Here is the thing I want you to know today: your God is Lord of all and Lord of everything. There is NOWHERE on this planet that He has any kind of limitation. He is the Lord of the mountaintops, and He is Lord of your money, your disease, your troubled marriage, your children, and your property or lack thereof. But never forget, He is “The Lord Of YOUR Valley.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m grateful this AM that You have everything under control. You are limitless and have all power in all that You do. Today I’m blessed to know that You are The Lord Of All My Valleys! Amen
