Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 14:1a

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”

O-bservation:

King David of Israel, whom God called a man after His own heart, said that only a fool would say, “There Is No God.” He then said that the fool who says, “There is no God” is corrupt and that his deeds are vile. He was giving a brief synopsis of an atheist.

A-pplication:

David did not have the scientific data to support what he was saying. He simply had the gift of discernment based upon the atheists he had known most likely. What he didn’t know is that science tells us the the average human will use about 5% of their brain in their lifetime. The most brilliant among us will use some 10-13% of their brain’s capacity. That means that no one is bright enough to make the definitive statement, “There is no God!” Why? Because there could be a God in the other 95% of one’s brain and they just haven’t discovered Him yet. But, you don’t have to be the person in charge of rocket science at NASA in order to understand that only “The Fool” would say in his heart, “There is no God!”

Dear Jesus,

I’ve never been a scholar, but I’m also not “The Fool” who says, “There is no God!” Only a fool would stoop so low. Amen
