Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 105:2
Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
O-bservation:
It was King David’s desire to sing praise to God. After that, he felt a person needed to talk about good things. To David, the best thing he could talk about had to do with the miracles the Lord had performed on his behalf.
A-pplication:
If you could measure your words during the course of a 16 hr. day, how much of it would be about Jesus? This is not an indictment it’s a question. Think about it. The more I talk about Jesus, the less time I talk about my problems. The more I talk about Jesus, those who would oppose me know they’re not just coming against me—they’re coming against the God I serve. And the more I talk about Jesus, the less Fear has an opportunity to gain a FOOTHOLD in me. Instead Faith SOARS within me. Praising the Lord through song had taken David out of “Despair and into Hope” too many times to count. Talking about the greatness of God had moved him from “Fear to Faith” over and over. If it worked for King David, it will surely work for us. “Talk About Jesus!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
When I read this verse this AM, I took my requests off of the table and started singing Praises to You. Then I was reminded of all the times you’ve worked miracles in my behalf. So I’ll be talking about Jesus all day long! Amen
