Take It Or Leave It

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 17:32
When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, “We want to hear you again on this subject.”

O-bservation:

These are the words of some of the council members who heard Paul’s testimony on Mars Hill in Athens, Greece. The gospel had never been preached there until this moment. When Paul finished speaking to them and answering their questions, some of them said, “We’d Like To Hear More Sometime.”

A-pplication:

It’s true that a number of people accepted the gospel that day, but the rest were like these people who said, “We’d like to hear more sometime.” In other words, “I can, ‘Take It or Leave It.’” When they left the gospel that day, it’s almost as if the gospel left them. God said in the Old Testament, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.” (Jer. 29:13) This gospel that has come to us is not asking for some laissez-faire approach to living. NO! You can’t ‘Take It Or Leave IT.’ The gospel of Christ demands our all.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,
Once again, this AM I want to say, “Lord, I give you all of me!” Amen
