Who Made It?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Hebrews 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything

O-bservation:

The writer is establishing the fact that nothing just happens. Things don't just appear out of nowhere. If you see a house standing, it's because someone built the house. The power behind this single verse is that it's one thing to build something, it's an entirely different thing to have built EVERYTHING. God is the builder of everything and He is greater than all things.

A-pplication:

Arrogance usually results when a person takes credit for something they didn't make happen. Anyone who is guilty of such a matter is living in a very small world. God invites all of us to look around. All of humanity's creations dwarf when laid in front of the backdrop of the Grand Canyon, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Colorado River, and any of the oceans of the world! Humans build stuff and then blow their own stuff up. What remains is what God built, which can't be blown up. So if limited, peanut humanity built the Eiffel Tower, who really built it? Not only did God make heaven and earth, He also made everything in it. That's including Humankind! So now, since we know who really made "The Tower," the next time you hear someone boast of their own accomplishments you need to ask ... "Who Really Made It?"

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, I thank You this AM for the ability You have given me, but all I'm taking credit for is my sin. Thank You that You forgive me and continue to bless me. Amen

Everything Great Starts SMALL

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Zechariah 4:10a "Who dares despise the day of small things?"

O-bservation:

When the people of Judah were released to go back with Nehemiah, Ezra, and Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, they were met with great opposition. The opposition saw the great task ahead of them and the impossible smallness of the returnees’ capabilities. But Zerubbabel knew that only by the power of the Spirit would it be accomplished. He also knew that "Everything Great Starts SMALL!"

A-pplication:

No matter how large your personal dream may be, it will have to have a plan attached and it will begin humbly. In other words, just about every personal dream starts SMALL. A giant redwood begins as a tiny seed. A twelve-foot alligator is hatched from an insignificant little egg. The "Freedom Tower" in Manhattan is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and includes 3.5 million sq. ft. of space, but it all started with a set of plans on an architect’s desk. Perhaps you have reached a wall on your own Dream and feel like the beginning is small and you can't move forward. Don't give up today, God is with you. Besides, "Everything Great Starts SMALL!"

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, Thank You for the dream You have entrusted me with. I know it's a small beginning, but You have GREAT things ahead for me. Amen

Jesus, Our Everything!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Colossians 2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.

O-bservation:

As I read this passage this AM, I immediately thought, “Jesus, Our Everything!” St. Paul said that all of the Deity dwells in one bodily form in Christ. In other words, all of the Father and all of the Holy Spirit dwell within all of Jesus. With that in mind, you must ask yourself the question, “What or who else but Jesus do I need?

A-pplication:

Think about it. God is all-knowing. Remember when Jesus met the woman at the well? He told her that she had been married five times and the man she was living with now was not her husband. How could He know that? The all-knowing God the Father indwelled Him. Remember when Jesus said, “I will always be with you to the very end of the age?” How could He make that promise? Because the Holy Spirit is our Paraclete. He walks next to us and is always with us. The Holy Spirit was indwelling Jesus when Jesus made the statement. Yes, there are three very definite distinctions of our great God. There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. But all indwell the bodily form of Jesus. So today, we are blessed to say, “Jesus, Our Everything!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, Thank You that I don’t have to pray to a stone or piece of wood, but I can and will pray to You and You alone. Everything I need is found in You. Amen

Any And Everything You Will Ever Need!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Philippians 4-19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

O-bservation:

St. Paul made one of the most famous statements in all of the Bible right here. He said that our wonderful and great Almighty God will give you “Any And Everything You Will Ever Need!” This will be accomplished because of His ABUNDANCE found in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

A-pplication:

Whenever you feel as though you have come to the end of your own supply, or perhaps you feel as though you’re out of hope completely, it’s true that our heavenly Father’s bank is endless. By bank, I’m not only suggesting money. I’m talking about a bank of endless WHATEVER IT IS YOU NEED. Please, please, please, my friend, do not give up on God. God is THE SUPPLIER to His people. Sometimes you and I are part of His vast delivery system, but even we cannot help a brother or sister unless our great God has, first of all, supplied us. I become weary when I see believers run here and run there to everyone else before they stop, fall on their knees, and pray. Prayer changes things is not just a nifty slogan; it’s the truth. Today, if you will focus on the King of all Kings and ask Him, He will give you “Any And Everything You Will Ever Need.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, This AM, I want to stop and say to You, You have always supplied my every need because of Your endless bank of everything. When I stop crying to everyone else and come crying to You, You always answer. Help my friend who reads this post, I ask. Right now. Amen
