Everything Great Starts SMALL

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Zechariah 4:10a

“Who dares despise the day of small things?”

O-bservation:

When the people of Judah were released to go back with Nehemiah, Ezra, and Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, they were met with great opposition. The opposition saw the great task ahead of them and the impossible smallness of the returnees’ capabilities. But Zerubbabel knew that only by the power of the Spirit would it be accomplished. He also knew that “Everything Great Starts SMALL!”

A-pplication:

No matter how large your personal dream may be, it will have to have a plan attached and it will begin humbly. In other words, just about every personal dream starts SMALL. A giant redwood begins as a tiny seed. A twelve-foot alligator is hatched from an insignificant little egg. The “Freedom Tower” in Manhattan is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and includes 3.5 million sq. ft. of space, but it all started with a set of plans on an architect’s desk. Perhaps you have reached a wall on your own Dream and feel like the beginning is small and you can’t move forward. Don’t give up today, God is with you. Besides, “Everything Great Starts SMALL!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for the dream You have entrusted me with. I know it’s a small beginning, but You have GREAT things ahead for me. Amen
