A Spacious Place

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 118:5

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place.

O-bservation:

Throughout King David’s life, we read of times when he was between a “Rock and a Hard Place.” In this passage, he calls it being … “Hard Pressed.” During those times it was David’s “Modus Operandi” to cry out to God for HELP. And whenever he did, he testifies that God would inevitably bring him into … “A Spacious Place.”

A-pplication:

Right now, you are probably going through a list of events in your life where you were … “Hard Pressed.” The question is: what did you do? What do people do in general, when they find themselves between a “Rock and a Hard Place?” Some begin to drink too much. Others join a Health Club, thinking the exercise will relieve their stress. Still others separate from friends and family who love them, and look for a “New Team.” David didn’t do that, and I hope you won’t either. When the King was “Hard Pressed,” he cried out to the “King of Kings” and Jesus heard him. The Lord relieved the stress, took the problem away, and brought him into “A Spacious Place.” Enjoy your SPACE today. God made it happen just for YOU.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I never stop crying to You for help. Especially when I’m “Hard Pressed.” Thanks to You today, I’m enjoying lots of SPACE. Amen
