S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Luke 19:7
All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
O-bservation:
Jesus had just called the “Little Guy,” Zacchaeus, down from a tree in order to go to his house and dine with him. Zacchaeus, the “Little Guy Tax Collector,” was apparently hated by his fellow Jewish people for being a “Tax Collector” for Rome. So they immediately judged Zacchaeus as a “Sinner.”
A-pplication:
The nature of religion is to judge people as righteous or unrighteous based on their standards of righteousness. As a personal note, I love “Sinners” and really don’t care for religion at all. There I said it! Now back to our story. Jesus loved “Sinners” because He saw them as people who knew they had issues and weren’t afraid to admit it. On the other hand, His religious foes were unwilling to admit to any “Inferiorities” when it came to the matter of life. They had their list of rules they kept and that was all that was important. If you didn’t agree with their list, you were a “Sinner.” They weren’t even interested in seeing a “Sinner” changed or transformed. They instead immediately labeled them as “Sinners.” I’m so thankful for Jesus, who picked me out of a heap of “Sinners” in order to save me. That’s why I’ll always run toward “Sinners,” because Jesus ran toward me.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I’m so thankful that You rescued me from my heap of trouble! You didn’t judge me, You ran toward me. I’m yours wholeheartedly. Amen

I thank God for His word and for loving
me. I want to be an example for those
Around me and love others as Jesus loves me. I want to always remember
to never look down on anyone, unless
I’m looking down to give them a hand to
pull them up.
