Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Romans 5:6
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
O-bservation:
St. Paul told the church at Rome, and all of us today, that at the “The RIGHT Time,” when we had no power to change, Jesus died for the ungodly. Of course Paul is writing this inclusively.
A-pplication:
For anyone writing, or speaking, or just living, in any particular time in history, “Their Time” is always the “Right Time.” Remember, Jesus died and resurrected during Paul’s time here on earth. That made it “The RIGHT Time” for Paul. But here’s the question, how did that work out for people who lived and died before the time of Jesus here on earth? The writer of Hebrews talks about that, and says many people believed without ever seeing or hearing of Jesus. It’s a dead end to go on with a discussion concerning BC. However, ever since the coming of Jesus to this earth it’s been … “Right Now Is The Right Time!” Any second of any minute of any hour of any day is “The RIGHT Time” to embrace Jesus wholeheartedly. Recently, in my discussions with unbelievers I’ve begun to lay aside any idea of only building relationship with them personally, and have asked the question: “How is your search for God going?” From that point on, I am warmly encouraging them to give their lives to Jesus. I’ve come to believe that … RIGHT NOW is “The RIGHT Time!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Right Now I lay aside all other pursuits to embrace Your grace. This is my wholehearted purpose for living. Amen
