Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
2 Corinthians 3:2
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone.
O-bservation:
A letter is written to advise the recipient of news. In this case, the Apostle Paul told the “Jesus Followers” at Corinth that they themselves were his letter to people who were not yet believers in Jesus. In effect, they were the Apostles’ “Good News” letter to others.
A-pplication:
All of us are limited in our personal ability to be OMNIPRESENT. Only God is everywhere at the same time. The only hope for Christianity here on planet earth is that “Jesus Followers” everywhere would reproduce themselves in others. In other words, it isn’t enough to know Jesus just for yourself. To know Jesus and hide Him from others is the antithesis of the plan Jesus gave us. He said to His disciples before He left that they were to go everywhere and preach the Good News. Every time someone follows Jesus, they are to do the same. This was the plan of heaven from the beginning. The Gospel of Jesus was never meant to be reproduced with guns and forced acquiescence to Jesus as Lord. No! On the contrary, the gospel has always been viral in nature. When I produce the “Good News” in someone they become my letter of “Good News” to someone else. It’s called … “Reproduction.”
P-rayer:
Today I’m out to “Reproduce” the Good News of Jesus to others who do not yet believe. I ask that You would lead me so the letters spread everywhere. Amen
