Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
But the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.
Earlier in this chapter, Herod the King heard what was going on concerning the miracles of Jesus and was concerned that John the Baptist, whom he had beheaded, had risen from the dead. When the Apostles told Jesus Herod was looking for Him, Jesus took the disciples and tried to get away to Bethsaida. But, the masses of people heard where Jesus was going and followed Him there. Of course Jesus welcomed them and healed those who needed healing.
Wherever Jesus went there was a crowd. All they had to hear was “Jesus is coming” or “Jesus is going” and the people would Wait or Follow. People wanted to hear the whereabouts of Jesus because He loved them and could cure their diseases and resurrect their dead dreams. I always wonder … “What Do People Think When They Hear About Us?” Is there a rush on their part to be with us? What do we bring to the table that is attractive to people in need? I believe as “Followers Of Jesus” our AVAILABILITY is more important than our ABILITY to help people. I want people to know I’m available for them whenever I’m in town.
I want You to know this AM that I am AVAILABLE for You and Your people again today! Amen
