PEACE Is JESUS’ Signature Trademark

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Luke 24:36

While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

O-bservation:

This statement by Jesus was made the first time all the disciples were together after the resurrection. Several of them had just walked with Him on the Emmaus Road and didn’t even know it was Him. The discussion in the room centered on the question of whether or not Jesus had risen from the dead. All of a sudden, Jesus appeared in the room and uttered His “Signature Trademark” line … “Peace Be With You.”

A-pplication:

Jesus was and is a PEACEMAKER! He made the sea be at Peace when He spoke to the storm and said … “Peace, Be Still” (Mk. 4:34). He told His disciples to have Peace one with another (Mk. 9:50). Before His death He said, “Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give unto you” (Jn. 14:27). In my daily discussions with friends and associates, I find the need for Peace is always an issue. Relationships, Finances, Communication, and matters of Personal Faith all have a tendency to evolve into a state of unrest if Jesus isn’t at the center of each issue and us. It’s usually easy to spot a “Follower Of Jesus.” Peace is their “Signature Trademark!” A person can confess or profess anything they want to, but in the end (just like the bank), people are going to want to see some “ID.” “PEACE Is Jesus’ Signature Trademark!” What’s Yours?

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Please help me today to be overshadowed by Your Peace. I want to be a PEACEMAKER! Only You can help me. Amen
