Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Isaiah 65:1
“I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’”
O-bservation:
As our great God speaks through the prophet Isaiah, His PATHOS is showing. The word pathos means, “A personal event in one’s life that evokes a sense of deep sorrow.” God said, “You wouldn’t ask for Me but I showed up anyway. I made sure you found Me even though you weren’t looking for Me. As a nation, You refused to call for My help but I still cried out to You, ‘I am here.'”
A-pplication:
Most every parent has had moments of great PATHOS in relationship with his or her children. Child rearing produces as much Sorrow at times as it does Joy. Some of the sorrow occurs when the child not only ignores the parent, but refuses to acknowledge that they’re even there. In the absolute smallest and most finite way possible, this is a picture of what God experiences all day long, every day with His Creation here on earth. He, the Creator, stands by begging for an audience with His children. He stands at the door of nations that have wholeheartedly rejected Him, knocking and crying out loud … “I’m here, I’m really here, please open the door.” In a world that is so desperate for help, we’ve left the One who made us standing outside the door.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
As I read Your heart’s cry this AM, I was filled with PATHOS for You. I want to once again offer my life as Your servant to do with as You will. Amen

This message is very meaningful. I related in another comment that Frances is in Toronto and contending with some old friends who are unbelievers. Her friend Chris, who is in the last stages of cancer, told her yesterday, that when she comes into a room “she screeches CHRISTIAN”, by just her presence. I told her that she is where she should be, because the HOLY SPIRIT that is in her is contending with the evil spirit that is in their house. She is planting seeds that they will have to deal with long after she comes home! Thank you for your prayers.
My King, Jesus, gives me my heart desires . He inspires my wishes, according to my needs, which sometimes I do not even know. He plans my life and makes sure that I am on the right pathway to His court. Glory to His precious name!
