Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
2 Chronicles 33:13
And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.
O-bservation:
This is the story of the wicked King of Judah named Manasseh. This man did every vile and wicked thing a man could conceivably do. He even sacrificed some of his children in the fire to his foreign God. God allowed the Assyrian leaders to capture him and put a ring in his nose and lead him throughout Babylon. But this passage says, “He prayed to the Lord.” That prayer moved the heart of the Lord and He brought him back to leadership in Judah. A changed king!
A-pplication:
I choose to believe that you are reading this “AM SOAP Devotional” because you love Jesus. But you may have a friend or family member who you think … just can’t be forgiven! They’ll never change. They’re too lost. If you knew what they had done. My friend, please hear these soft yet direct words this AM … “God Wants To Forgive.” Hey, if He will forgive a king who led His beloved Judah into witchcraft and magic arts, and then burned his own children in the fire to sacrifice to some foreign God, He will forgive your loved one. I will join my faith to yours today and believe that in their brokenness they will turn to God because … “God Wants To Forgive!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m so thankful this AM for Your Grace and Mercy. So many times I’ve failed You, but You have always been there to FORGIVE me. Amen
