Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Kings 4:20
The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore; they ate, they drank and they were happy.
O-bservation:
Here is the fulfillment of the promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 22:17. God told Abraham that one day His descendants would be as numerous as the sand on the seashore.
A-pplication:
It took some 1,200 years for this promise made to Abraham, by God, to come to pass. But “Once Again God Keeps His Promises.” What is it you’re believing for? What is it that you’ve been waiting for? If God has made you a promise, then keep waiting and keep believing. It’s understandable that some promises are for more than just your light bill. Don’t hold God accountable for not saving your grandchildren if you’re old and they’re not in school yet. Abraham probably shook his head when God promised that his offspring would be as numerous as the sand of the seashore when he only had a few in his family. However, after seeing God keep so many promises in his life, he went to sleep in God knowing that “God Keeps His Promises!” Don’t give up believing, you’re God’s child too.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Lord, this AM I don’t have much to hold on to except … Your promise. For me, that’s enough! Amen
