S-cripture:

Psalm 97:11

Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.

O-bservation:

I love the words of the Psalmist. His words tell us why Jesus should be our all-in-all. If we’ll walk in righteousness, we’ll always be covered in light. If we remain upright in heart, joy will flood our souls.

A-pplication:

Many people are weary of their dark surroundings. Oftentimes they’ve felt that way so long they don’t know they’re weary and they certainly don’t realize that darkness surrounds them. Others are absolutely sullen as it relates to their countenance. They wouldn’t know JOY if it pointed the corners of their mouth upward. What’s the problem? They need Jesus. Only Jesus can help people walk a straight path and encourage hearts to embrace integrity. When that happens, it’s party time! Everything is lit, and joyous laughter fills the room. “Here’s To Loving Jesus!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I know it’s early in the AM but … I’m feeling like it’s party time! Thanks for always helping me to walk in light while joy fills my heart. Amen
