Maybe They’ll Crack

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Chronicles 33:13

And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.

O-bservation:

This is the story of the wicked King Manasseh of Judah. He had been taken prisoner by the Assyrian King. They put a hook in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles, and took him to Babylon. He cried unto the Lord. God was moved by his penitent prayers and brought him back to Jerusalem. The Bible says then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.

A-pplication:

This was a very wicked man. History says Manasseh was the most wicked of all Judah’s Kings. He reigned for 55 years. These were cursed years in Judah’s history. He even sacrificed one of his sons in the fire to the Canaanite god known as Molech. But, he CRACKED. He had been taken to prison by the Babylonians and suffered greatly. In his distress, he cried to God and God had pity on him and sent him back to Jerusalem to rule. Perhaps you have a family member or a close friend who may be TOO far gone. At least that’s what you think. Why not read the whole story of Manasseh today and remember that things got so bad for him, HE CRACKED. Then pray again and ask the Lord for your friend. Who knows … “Maybe They’ll CRACK.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

As I head from my place this AM, I’m reminded NO ONE IS TOO FAR GONE FOR YOU. I’m praying some of my friends will CRACK today. Amen
