Making Another Try At The Garden Of Eden
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Leviticus 26:12
I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.
O-bservation:
Here the Lord spoke to the people of Israel through Moses, who was still at Mt. Sinai. He told him to tell the people of Israel that He (The Lord) wanted to walk among them and be their God, and they would be His people.
A-pplication:
As I read this, I couldn’t help but think of the Lord walking with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in the cool of the evening, and spending time with them as a loving father does with his children. Throughout the Word of God, I find the Lord over and over “Making Another Try At The Garden Of Eden.” Sometimes I believe God’s happiest time with humankind was that time before sin entered the world. Talking and living and doing life with Adam and Eve. I’ve heard it said repeatedly during my life, “All good things must come to an end.” We humans have a way of messing our personal Garden Of Edens up every time. The truth is, no matter how many times we fail, it’s still God’s desire that He has personal time and intimacy with us, His creation. So no matter how many times you may have failed the Lord, ask Him to help you. Help Him in “Making Another Try At The Garden Of Eden” just for you.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I know that all through human history it’s been Your desire to have relationship with Your human creation. Always we have failed You. Today I want You to know I desire that relationship with everything that is in me. Amen
