Make The Most Of It!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Job 16:22

Only a few years will pass before I take the path of no return.

O-bservation:

Job is the oldest book in the Bible. It was probably written some 3,500 years ago by an unknown man from Israel. Job had been terribly afflicted with an assortment of trouble in his life. One day he finally said in the middle of his ordeal, “I only have a few years left to live.” Most historians say he was about 70 when he made that statement.

A-pplication:

The truth is, after Job made the above statement he lived another 140 years! You never know just how long you have on this planet, so never linger on such a discussion. All of us will someday see the Lord; however, as “Followers of Jesus,” none of us should be in a hurry to get there. Why? So many people in our world are without the knowledge of our Savior. When Jesus left this earth, He told His followers (that’s you and me) to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Although none of us have the day and the hour of our earthly departure locked into our understanding, the best goal concerning our life span should be … “Make The Most Of It!” When Job made the statement, he had no clue that his best days were LONG and in FRONT of him.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I have renewed vigor concerning my future! With Your help, I will … “Make The Most Of It!! Amen

I have heard of the Holy Spirit but did not, until recently, asked to be filled with the 3rd person of the Trinity. After an “I- grow” class with Brother Andre and his wife, I was able to exercise my right to pray in the Spirit and yield to His power. My prayers are now, more than ever before, answered on the spot. I am so thankful to Trinity for teaching me, so well, the Holy Word of God.
