The Lord Is GREAT!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 70:4

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”

O-bservation:

King David was in need of God’s protection. People were out to get him again, but in the middle of his cry for help he paused and said, “I want everybody who is in trouble to rejoice and be glad that you serve a God who can help you when you’re facing a trial. In fact just say it with me … “The Lord is great!”

A-pplication:

I believe if we’ve ever needed a word from Jesus it’s this one. Is it possible that for some of us, we cry cry cry for God’s help but forget “The Lord Is Great?” I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a tough situation and for days all I said in prayer was … “Oh God, You’ve got to help me. Really God, I need Your help. God do You think You can help me? Jesus are You there? I need Your help!” Does that sound familiar? Somewhere in the mix of our cry for help, we must stop and say, “The Lord Is Great!” His greatness, in light of our present situation, turns our “Great Problem” into a “Minuscule Annoyance.” I know it’s Big to you and me, but He’s BIGGER! “The Lord Is Great!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I will not bring a laundry list of my problems to You. Maybe I will tomorrow. But today I will say … “The Lord is great!” Amen
