Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
O-bservation:
St. Paul casts all other issues of life aside and commands all believers everywhere to be given FULLY to Jesus. He says, with emphasis, “LET NOTHING MOVE YOU!”
A-pplication:
Most would call this an admonishment by St. Paul, but the more one reads the verse the more it appears to be a command. He commands all “Followers of Jesus” to stand firm, and most of all he says, “LET NOTHING MOVE YOU!” When everything we do is for the work of the Lord there is a giant payoff coming, because none of it is done in vain. Right away people want to qualify this verse. They say, well you have to have a regular job. You have to eat. You have a family to raise, and on and on they will make excuses. But the Lord is speaking to all of us this AM! “LET NOTHING MOVE YOU!” If we will put the work of the Lord at the top of our list, everything else will be added unto us! (Matt. 6:33)
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
How I love this work You have placed before me. With Your help, I will let NOTHING MOVE ME away from this mission. Amen
