Jesus Is Our Helper

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 121:2

My help comes from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth.

O-bservation:

Arguably the greatest king who ever lived was David of Israel. Victory, Wealth, and Leadership are the credentials for which he has been hailed for thousands of years. When asked how he was able to pull this off on a regular basis, David would answer as he did in this verse: “My help comes from the Lord. By the way he is the creator of the universe. What more do I need?”

A-pplication:

Every one of us would lift our hands yes in response to the question, “How many of you ask for help every day?” The truth is no one stands alone. But few people that I know understand that if they really depended daily on the Lord as their “Help,” they would find themselves asking less and less for the help of others. Our miracle working, help giving God is able to supply our needs in a way that astounds others. So often I’ve had people ask me, “How did you pull that off Rich?” And usually I answer, “Well first of all I really prayed and asked God to help me.” So you can ask your friends Ray or Jay for help and that’s good, but if that fails today don’t forget, “Jesus Is Our Helper.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Today I’m thankful that You have made the heavens and the earth. That means for sure You can help me with my issues. I know You’ve got this! Amen
