Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
John 13:1c
Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
O-bservation:
Jesus was coming to the end of His physical ministry on earth. That meant He would have to go through the cross to get back to His Father in heaven. He knew what each of His disciples would do, but the Scripture says He loved them to the end anyway.
A-pplication:
From Genesis to Revelation, as it relates to the “Big Picture” of humanity, down to the individual soul, “Jesus Always Began With The End In Mind.” For instance, Genesis 3:15 is the original Messianic text and speaks of Jesus’ final crushing of Satan’s life and influence here on earth (Rev. 20:10). In other words, God began in Genesis with what will occur at the end in Revelation. The verse at the top of the page tells us Jesus LOVED His disciples to the END of His mission here on earth, and of course into the “FOREVER” that resulted from His resurrection from the dead. One of His disciples betrayed Him, another disciple denied Him, and most of His disciples scattered during His most critical, yet indeed His finest, hour. So … what did Jesus do? He loved them anyway. You may be thinking, how do I know what the end of my future or anyone else’s future may be? Well our mission is not to know the future or the end, but only to Love THEM until the end. That’s how we Begin with the End in mind, when our beginning and ending is always LOVE.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I ask that You would help my first and last thought, today and every day, be LOVE. Amen

I think that I understand the love of Jesus for us because, no matter what my children will do to me, I will love them the same, unconditionally and eternally. This is the love that keeps on giving and never stops.
