It’s Only Going To Get Better!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Haggai 2:9

“‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

Here the prophet Haggai spoke of the temple that was rebuilt by Zerubbabel and then torn down and rebuilt by King Herod during the time Jesus walked the earth. Jesus tells us that He taught in this very temple daily (Mt. 26:55). It matters not that Solomon had built the most extravagant temple in the history of the world; it could not compare to the glory of the temple Jesus would one day preach in.

Haggai was speaking prophetically because he had seen something in the realm of the Spirit that just could not be verbally promoted based on what he had seen. So he simply said, “If you think this is something, ‘It’s Only Going To Get Better.’” But he didn’t know what better was. He saw it and couldn’t put his finger on it. He knew it didn’t have to do with man’s financial extravagance. He knew the dimensions would be the same, and the basic look, but all he could come up with was the word “GLORY.” Well, of course, anytime Jesus is anywhere near the scene, the “GLORY” meter blows the cap off. In other words, anytime Jesus is near, “It’s Only Going To Get Better.”

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for making my life better. I have found throughout my life that anytime You are near, life gets better. Amen
