Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

John 13:17

Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

O-bservation:

Jesus had just finished washing the feet of His disciples. When He had put His clothes back on, He talked to them about what He had just done. He wanted them to see and experience what He had done because He wanted them to operate the same way when He was gone. He was teaching them to be a servant of God for all people. He said, “You will be blessed, now that you know what to do when you actually do what you know to do.”

A-pplication:

How many KNOW that they need Jesus but refuse to commit their life to Him? How many KNOW that Jesus is calling them away from their abusive lifestyles, but they turn a deaf ear to His call? How many KNOW that Jesus could come any day but live like it will never happen? How many have been raised right, but instead, even though they KNOW better, they continue to live like the devil? In this short passage, what Jesus was saying was, “It’s Not Enough To Know!” You can KNOW the answers to the test, but you will fail the test if you refuse to insert the correct answer. You can KNOW that your children need your presence in their life, but if you refuse to make time for them, you will lose them. I could go on and on this AM about KNOWING what to do, but if you don’t DO what you KNOW to DO, you WILL give an account in time for your actions. Why? Because “It’s Not Enough To Know.”

Dear Jesus,

Help me today, Lord, to DO what I KNOW to DO. Amen
