Why I’m A Jesus Follower

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Mark 5:23-24a

He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.” So Jesus went with him.

Jesus and His disciples had just arrived by boat on the other side of the Sea of Galilee. When he arrived, a large crowd of people immediately gathered around Jesus to meet with Him. While He was speaking, Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, came and pleaded with Jesus to come and heal his daughter. Immediately Jesus went with him.

Here’s … “Why I’m A Jesus Follower.” Jesus had time for everybody. In this case, He left “The Crowds” to go pray for a little girl. Today so many leave the individual to try and get to the crowds. If we don’t have time for “The One,” what can we possibly do for the masses? When a “Frantic Father” approached Jesus, Jesus didn’t send someone else and say I don’t do children’s ministry. He didn’t ask for medical proof that the man was telling the truth. He answered the desperate cry of a loving father and raised the man’s little girl back to life. Raising people who are living in death zones back to life is what Jesus came to do (Jn. 10:10). The masses are looking for a STAR. People who are living in the midst of death are hoping to “Live Again.” That’s what Jesus does. He brings people back to Real Life. Jesus was a Master of the Stage, but He came for “The One.” That’s … “Why I’m A Jesus Follower.”

Dear Jesus,

Help me be like You today. I want to be a bearer of Real Life. Amen
