Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
They said to the woman, we no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that the man really is the savior of the world.
This is a follow-up to the story of the “Woman at the Well.” Her salvation was so powerful that all she could do was share her story with fellow Samaritans. Many of the Samaritans sought Jesus out for themselves. When they really encountered Jesus, it was no longer a secondhand knowledge of Him, it became a first-generation, “Full On” salvation experience. So when her friends saw her later they said, “Hey … we know Him too!”
Recently, my son and I were discussing the need for real spiritual encounters with Jesus. When that happens it’s not just a ho-hum relationship with Christ anymore, it’s a full on transformational encounter that brings permanent change. When a person really encounters Christ, no longer can they take it or leave it. True encounters with Jesus make you “Take It” all. You can’t get enough of Jesus when transformation takes place. When you’ve really been changed, it won’t be enough to sit and listen while someone else testifies of His love. No, eventually you will HAVE to interrupt and say, “Hey … I know Him too!”
Today I just can’t keep quiet. I know it’s been a long time since you transformed my life, but it feels like yesterday. You are my Savior and my Lord. I just can’t get enough of your Love! Amen
