Hope For The Prisoner

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Acts 12:5
So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

This is a story about King Herod wanting to shut the expansion of the Christian gospel down. He had St Peter thrown in prison with a substantial number of guards surrounding his holding area. But for Peter, the Bible says, “The church was earnestly praying for him.”

Whatever battle you’re facing today, it might be that you’re a prisoner to your challenge. What is “The Prisoner’s Hope?” It’s found in this passage. Get your church praying for you! Peter was miraculously delivered by an angel of the Lord because of prayer. I am presently in a battle for my life with a stem cell transplant. But God is with me. Daily, I receive scores of messages from people not only locally but from everywhere, telling me they’re praying for me. That’s the church. I will declare here and now, “I’m coming out of this prison in Jesus name, and you will too!”

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for your church. It’s because of your church that I have a prayer team behind me this am. I’m always grateful. Amen
