S-cripture:

Psalm 29:2

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

O-bservation:

King David made it very clear that we are to give to the Lord the glory or the magnification of His name that He has earned. He also said that we are to worship Him or Honor Him in the completeness of His holiness.

A-pplication:

In my estimation, the order contained in this passage of scripture from heaven above is simply this: “Honor Jesus Today.” Whenever you’re reading this, even if it’s not the date at the top, “Honor Jesus Today.” There is nothing more important that we could choose to do at any moment of any day than to “Honor Jesus Today.” Twice the Bible tells us in Revelation 4 and 19 that the twenty-four elders around the throne fall down and worship and honor the King of Kings. Worship is another word for Honor in Scripture when it comes to the worship of our precious Savior. Nothing you or I do could possibly compare to our worshipping Jesus. Before you eat or drink or sleep or rise, first of all … “Honor Jesus Today!”

Dear Jesus,

This AM, before I do anything else, I HONOR YOU! There is nothing more important that I will do this day than stopping and worshiping You! Amen
