S. O. A. P.
Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 125:2
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forever more.
O-bservation:
This passage is especially meaningful to people who have had the opportunity to visit Jerusalem. The city actually does sit on an elevated space in a mountainous region. And when you get out of the city it is indeed surrounded by mountains. David used that geographical setting metaphorically to express the fact that God surrounds (as in protects) His people, not only now but forever.
A-pplication:
I woke up this AM thanking God for a lot of things, but when I read this passage I thanked Him that I am surrounded by HIM. God is with me all the time. He’s with me now. He’s with me forever, until one day I see Him face-to-face. I’m not special, unless of course we’re all special. Because He’s surrounding you right now. He’ll be with you all day today and all day tomorrow. He’ll be with you throughout the holidays and into next year, every day, all day! Please, whatever is troubling you, just Thank Him! “He’s With You Right NOW!”
P-rayer:
I’m so thankful this morning that You’re with me right now. You’re surrounding me, protecting me, loving me, and watching out for me. It’s going to be a great day! Amen
