S-cripture:

Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.

O-bservation:

The Prophet Nahum voices the words of countless millions “Followers of Jesus” through the centuries when he says, “The Lord is good, He’s caring and He is your refuge in the time of trouble.”

A-pplication:

I think it’s important that all of us remember Jesus is good when we are not good. Better yet, He’s good to us when we’re not good to Him. Jesus cares when no one else cares. Think of the times that the challenge you were faced with only needed someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on, but no one was there. People come to me all the time and say things like this, “I’ve got 5,000 Facebook friends and 2,500 Twitter followers and 1,000 Instagram followers, but I just don’t have anyone to talk to. Jesus Cares. This is the one I love the most. Jesus is a refuge. He’s someone to run to for shelter and covering in the time of real trial. Whatever storm seems to be blowing in your direction, I encourage you today to run to Jesus. Yield to Jesus. Embrace Jesus. I guarantee Jesus will not run away or push you away or ridicule you away. Why? Because … “He’s GOOD, He’s CARING, and He’s your REFUGE.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I thank You that You are literally opening Your arms to me this AM and You’re beckoning me to run to You. You are my refuge and I’m heading in Your direction. Amen
