Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
If you have decided to leave your “old life” behind and “Follow Jesus,” then you are part of the “US” St. Paul is referring to. If God is for “US” (and He is), who can be against “US?” We are part of the united “Heavenly Team” that is unstoppable, because God is for “US.”
Everyone longs to be a part of a “Winning Team” in this life. I even heard of a “Loners Anonymous Club” recently. But even more than that, all of us want to be loved and appreciated and accepted for who we are as a person. It’s imperative that we know God is for US, but what you need to hear today is, “God Is For YOU.” He died and was resurrected for “YOU.” He has the very hairs of your head counted. Scripture tells us He has collected your tears in a bottle (Ps. 56:8). Yes it is true that God wants “YOU” on his big “US Team,” but before the “US” there is “YOU.” Others have failed “YOU.” Some have walked out on “YOU.” Still others have ridiculed “YOU” and caused “YOU” great shame. Not God! Hold to this fact today … “God Is For YOU!”
Thank You that I’m on Your team and I know you are for “US,” and no one can stand against “US.” But even more than this, I’m thankful You are for “ME.” Amen
