God Interrupted

S. O. A. P.

Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Exodus 32:14

Then the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

O-bservation:

The Israelites had rebelled in an unusual way by worshiping a golden calf they had coerced Moses’ brother, Aaron, into making for them. All of this happened while Moses was receiving the “10 Commandments” on Mount Sinai. God told Moses He would destroy His people, and in turn make Moses into a mighty nation. But Moses pleaded the people’s case before the Lord. The Bible says that God changed His mind and didn’t destroy them all.

A-pplication:

In the middle of God’s anger and wrath, and when He was on the brink of annihilating His own people, The Almighty was interrupted by the intercession of Moses. Moses reasoned with God (Is. 1:18). He presented such a legal case before the Almighty that the verdict flipped. When you see that line … “Prayer Changes Things ” … it comes from witnessing the effect of prayer throughout the Bible. It’s obvious in story after story that a matter seems to have been set in motion only to be reversed because someone begins to pray the “Prayer Of Faith.” Have you ever prayed a “God Interrupted” kind of prayer that really reversed your circumstances? If not, begin praying today like NOTHING else matters!! I promise God will begin to make things turn for you.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I can’t believe the many times I’ve interrupted You with cries from my heart. But You’ve never turned me away. Instead You always turn things around! Amen
