Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!
His disciples answered, “But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them?”
For most of the day, Jesus had ministered to people in a barren area. There was no food in sight, and the people were hungry. Jesus didn’t want to send them away, because as He said, “I have compassion for these people.” But the disciples immediately stepped in to say, “It’s impossible to feed so many.”
Before I go any further with this story, it’s important that we all remember that as “Followers of Jesus” we are in partnership with God! So … if Jesus is your partner, do everything you possibly can to “Find A Way To Say YES!” when He’s giving you a directive. It’s amazing how many times our initial response is NO when it comes to communicating with Jesus. Many conversations between Jesus and His followers go like this. Jesus: You’re going to be healed of that cancer! Most Followers of Jesus: I just can’t see that happening! Jesus: The money is coming your way. Most Followers of Jesus: I believed before, but it never happened for me. Jesus: Your marriage will be saved! Most Followers of Jesus: He’ll never change. See what I mean? I’m telling you, Jesus is ready to feed the 4,000 for you today! Whatever you do, PLEASE … “Find A Way To Say YES!”
I just want to say to You to begin this day … “YES!” Amen
