You Don’t Have To See To See

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Corinthians 4:18

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

O-bservation:

St. Paul very much wanted the Church at Corinth and all Believers to move into and inhabit the territory known as Faith. In this passage, he instructs the People of God to get our eyes off of what CAN be seen and with Eyes of Faith look at what CAN’T be seen.

A-pplication:

The Apostle might as well have been instructing a world of “Blind People.” Because if you look with your eyes of faith … “You Don’t Have To See To See.” You can look with Eyes of Faith to what is there right now. If we, as “Followers Of Jesus,” can somehow break out of the world of the Temporary, then our decisions will always be made with Eternity in mind. It’s only accomplished through faith. If you have forever had your eyes fixed on the things that you can readily see, most likely FEAR will motivate your choices. If you wish to see with “Eyes of Faith,” it will be a process. But if you’re committed, in time you will understand … “You Don’t Have To See To See.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I really want to move in faith. I’m ready to close my eyes to the Temporary and see the Eternal. I realize that You’re asking me to join You in the unseen world of the eternal. Amen
