CONSISTENCY

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 10:4

Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.

O-bservation:

Jesus himself had said at one point that He had been called to the lost sheep of Israel. Meaning people who were away from the Lord (Matt. 15:24). In other words, Jesus came for the Jewish people to bring them “Eternal Life.” After His death and resurrection, His disciples received the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and took the gospel everywhere. Shortly after, the story of Cornelius (a Gentile) began to unfold. The Lord sent an angel to the house of Cornelius (Not a Jew) and said, “Your continual prayers and generosity to the poor have come before the Lord.” Cornelius then became the first of multiplied millions of Gentiles to be saved.

A-pplication:

I suppose it’s critical that we always remember the words of Jesus, who said, “Knock and the door will be opened to you.” In other words, “Don’t Quit” because Jesus is on the other side of your KNOCK and He will respond! More than anything, Jesus is looking for “CONSISTENCY” in the lives of His Followers. Cornelius continually prayed to a God he did not know and never stopped giving to those less fortunate than he. In time, the God we serve answered his prayer. His “CONSISTENCY” opened the way for millions of people to have “Eternal Life.” So if you’re wondering this AM, “Should I go KNOCK on that door again?” The answer is … “Keep Knocking!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, because of Your Word, I will CONSISTENTLY keep knocking on that door until it opens. I know that’s where my miracle is and I know that’s where You are as well. Amen

Only if I do not ask, I do not receive. God is pleased with me when I am generous and He still answers my prayers. I have all that I need: health, peace and love .
