Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Exodus 10:28

Pharaoh said to Moses, “Get out of my sight! Make sure you do not appear before me again! The day you see my face you will die.”

O-bservation:

These words were spoken by the Pharaoh of Egypt, who was still operating as though he was in control of what was happening. The Lord had given the nation of Egypt nine terrible plagues to get Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go. But he would not. In the next chapter, Moses was back in the Pharaoh’s court telling him what would happen next. When he was finished, he marched out of the Pharaoh’s presence in anger, and the Pharaoh did not lay a hand on him. So what the Pharaoh had said would happen in this verse, Didn’t Happen!

A-pplication:

Think of all the BULLIES in your life that you’ve had to maneuver around to be where you are today. In every phase of life, there seems to be that one person who thinks they’re better than you and wants to use their authority to pressure you into being someone God never intended you to be. That was what this Pharaoh had done to others all of his life. Always threatening, always predicting, always THE BULLY. But, today, that all ends because God has a Moses for every bully. Maybe you, sister or brother, are being called upon this AM to end your association with the bully who keeps you in fear with his or her words that threaten you. When Moses showed back up in the BULLY’S face the next day, the BULLY didn’t kill him. In fact, the BULLY knew his days were numbered.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I pray for my friend who is reading this post right now. I feel that perhaps this short devotional has touched a sore nerve in them. May they instead, today, feel the hold of the BULLY losing their grip on them as they pull on your divine power for their life. Amen
