Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 128:1-2

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

O-bservation:

This is a direct Word from our Heavenly Father through the pen of the Psalmist. God promises “Blessings And Prosperity” for all who would respect Him and follow His will.

A-pplication:

I seldom use two verses in the AM SOAP devo; however, these two are connected in a way that makes them somewhat less if not promoted together. When I was a little boy and my father told me what I was supposed to do that day, I would often ask him what I would get for obeying. Usually he would answer something like, “I’ll continue to let you live here!” The truth is, all of us are looking for a reward for following the rules. Here is a classic example of Jesus telling us if we’ll do this, we’ll get this. It was the Lord who set up the Holy reward system. In this case, the Lord promises us TODAY that if we will love and obey Him, He will reward us with “Blessings And Prosperity!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Oh I’m excited this AM. I’ve been endeavoring to accomplish this command followed by reward since I first became a “Follower of Jesus.” Thank You for all the “Blessings And Prosperity!” Amen
