Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Exodus 1:12
But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites.
O-bservation:
When Israel was finally settled in Egypt with all of Jacob and Joseph’s family, they numbered 70 people. From that time on, starting when the oppression of the new Pharaoh began and until it ended over 430 years later, the Israelites numbered into the millions of people! The Bible suggests that the hardships and oppression the Egyptians perpetrated upon the Israelis is why they multiplied the way they did. You could call it, “The Blessing of Oppression.”
A-pplication:
No one is looking for added pressure or trials or persecution of any kind. I understand that; however, each of those aforementioned events are tools our Heavenly Father uses to elevate us to greater levels of faith and abundance. You could call it, “The Blessing of Oppression.” The Israelis went through a living hell on earth as slaves under Egypt’s iron fist of Oppression. However, as they came out of the Oppression, they were found to be massive in numbers, strength, and personal determination to the point that the Egyptians “Dreaded” the Israelis!! What is it today that you’re experiencing? Are you under a load that seems unbearable? Remember that God makes no mistakes when it comes to His beloved children. What is unbearable today will catapult you to victory in ways that are unimaginable. Gold is refined by fire! You will come out of the refiner’s fire in victory. It’s “The Blessing of Oppression.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
With Your help this AM, I will not complain concerning my heavy load. I will see it as my ticket to Victory and Abundance. Thank You for “The Blessing of Oppression.” Amen
