S-cripture:

1 Thessalonians 4:3

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.

O-bservation:

In writing to the Thessalonian church, Paul made it very clear what the will of God is on many levels. But this one verse screams out loud. “Be Holy and Avoid Sexual Immorality. IT’S GOD’S WILL!”

A-pplication:

I love writing these devos for you every day. I have a choice on what to write and when I see verses like this I want to just jump past them to something more encouraging. However, I felt checked by the Lord this AM when I read this verse. I felt like I heard the Lord say, “Talk about it!” So I’m talking about it. We “Followers Of Jesus” are special agents sent by God to hurting people to show them who Jesus is. I’m sure you know what pleases the Lord in this matter. Sexual immorality goes against every fiber of our Savior’s being. It hurts Him when we own this type of action. Today, hear the word of the Lord. “Be Holy and Avoid Sexual Immorality. IT’S GOD’S WILL!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Help my will align with Your will today. Keep me separated from sexual immorality. I want to do Your will! Amen
