Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

O-bservation:

It is believed that St. Paul wrote over half of the New Testament. Here, in his letter to the church at Colossae, he told them to let the PEACE of God rule in their hearts because we’ve all, as Jesus People, been called to PEACE. Then he said, “And be thankful about it!”

A-pplication:

Here is “A Word To All Jesus People.” Let the peace of God rule in your hearts. We’ve been called to this. And be thankful when you do! I love this word, LET. In other words, let it happen. When there is no peace in our hearts as Jesus People, it’s because we won’t LET there be peace. Only you and I can hold peace back in our hearts. We must not hold peace back in our lives; we must LET PEACE happen in our lives. Sometimes, when there’s war, we must “Make Peace” happen. But for us as individuals, we just LET PEACE HAPPEN. God has already put PEACE in our hearts. During times of strife, Jesus People are called to LET PEACE RULE in their hearts. We’re not part of the angry mob, EVER! We’re always the PEACEMAKERS. But it begins in our own hearts. You can’t MAKE it happen for others what you won’t first LET it happen in your own life.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Today, I once again open the door for PEACE to happen in me. I know that I can’t MAKE peace happen for others until I LET peace happen in me. Amen
