S-cripture:

Haggai 1:9

“You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house.”

O-bservation:

Through the Prophet Haggai, the Almighty brings a righteous accusation. He tells the people of Israel that they’ve taken care of their own houses, but left His House in shambles.

A-pplication:

The house of the Lord, wherever we find it, is a meeting place with God. That’s what altars were before there were synagogues or churches. When we fail to keep the meeting place with God properly cared for, in time it impacts our entire family. Families meeting together to worship the Lord help establish strong spiritual communities that stem the attack of the enemy in our lives. Let’s not be guilty of taking care of our place but failing to take care of HIS House. All of us need … “A Heart For HIS House.”

I need a daily reminder of my constant need for the House of the Lord in my life! Amen
